1. About this policy

NATW operates North America Territory Wars at natw.io. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you visit our website, create an account, or play. Some information is collected when you browse, even without an account.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details: your email address, username, password and other sign-in information, and a record of your agreement to our policies.
  • Gameplay information: your player name, game preferences, participation in matches, and activity during games.
  • Website activity: your IP address, browser and device information, approximate location, pages visited, referring website, and the dates and times of visits. If you are signed in, this activity may be associated with your account.
  • Support and safety information: messages you send us, reports of misconduct, and records needed to address abuse or enforce our terms.

3. How we use information

We use your information to provide accounts and gameplay, send account-related messages, respond to requests, improve the website, understand how it is used, prevent cheating and abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting NATW, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where required. You can withdraw consent to optional processing without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

4. Information visible to others

Your username and public profile information may be visible to others. Players in your games can see your player name and shared gameplay activity. Your email address and private account information are not shown to other players. Avoid including personal or sensitive information in your username or player name.

5. How we share information

Authorized people working on NATW may access information as needed to run the service, provide support, and keep players safe. We also use service providers for website hosting, account sign-in, data storage, email delivery, website content, and security. They receive information needed to provide those services.

We may disclose information to comply with legal requirements, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or carry out a business transfer with appropriate protections and notice where required. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.

We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and help protect the service. You can manage these through your browser settings. Clearing or blocking them may sign you out or affect website features.

We plan to introduce Google advertising, but it is not currently enabled. If introduced, Google and participating advertising providers may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads and, where permitted, personalize them based on visits to this and other websites. We will update this policy and provide any required consent or opt-out controls before enabling advertising.

Agreeing to this policy when creating an account does not give consent to personalized ads or optional advertising cookies. Those choices will be handled separately. Learn how Google uses information on partner sites or manage Google ad preferences in My Ad Center.

7. How long we keep information

We keep account information while your account is active, subject to deletion requests and any necessary legal or security retention. Records of your policy agreement are deleted with your account. Routine website visit and connection records are generally kept for up to 30 days. Temporary game information is removed when it is no longer needed to run the game.

Support, safety, and dispute records may be kept longer when needed to investigate abuse, resolve a request, or meet legal obligations. Backup copies and service-provider records may follow separate retention periods. We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Your choices and rights

Email legal@natw.io to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information or account. We may ask you to verify that the account belongs to you. Never send us your password.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to receive a copy of your information in a portable format, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, appeal a response to a request, or complain to a data-protection authority. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we need to retain certain information for legal or security reasons, we will explain the relevant limitations.

9. Children

NATW is not intended for children under 13 or anyone below the applicable minimum age for the service in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided information contrary to this policy, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

10. Updates and contact

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. For material changes, we will provide notice through the website or account email as appropriate and request additional consent where required.

NATW is responsible for the information described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact legal@natw.io.
